Cobb Cup
A handicap competition for all divisional teams.
Rules
Each match to consist of nine singles (no doubles) three players per team each playing one another.
These singles consist of four games only.
Play commence at love all and ends when one player attains 11 points - no two clear points applying.
Handicaps will be set at the beginning of the Cup.
The handicap points shall be added to each teams final points and the team with the highest number of points shall be deemed the winner.
In the event of a draw, the replay shall take place at the Away Clubs Venue.
Should a league team wish to enter the Cobb Cup but is unable to do so because it has insufficient players who can play every Cobb Cup week it may not amalgamate with another team from it's own club in the same or adjacent divisions. All players must be registered on the entry form, which will be sent to team secretaries during March. Appropriate handicaps will be calculated accordingly. Any player not so registered who plays in the Cobb Cup will have his/her results voided and each game awarded to the opponent 11-0.
All results must be telephoned to the Cup Secretary on the morning of the day after the match.
